Little update

So things are busy busy busy for Ferndale crafts. I have another stall at a charity day, raising funds for Havens Hospices at the end of October and a jewellery party in December. This on top of getting ready to start a new job and re-adjusting the kids routines around the additional time I will spend travelling on the M25 (will probably have a box of beads in the glove box for when I get stuck in a jam!)

But the worst of it all is trying to set up the Ferndale Crafts website! The box says no programming or technical skills required - they obviously haven't encountered me and my 'technical skills'! God it's hard work. Hoping to have it up and running this side of Christmas though with a bit of luck!

On a positive note, I have made some beautiful new bracelets and necklaces which have received some really lovely feedback from my friends and followers, and my childrens collection is growing nicely with christmas in mind. I am really enjoying my hobby and just wish there was more time in the day to spend working on creating new and sparkly things!

My first outing

Sunday 4th September was a big day for Kim Taylor Events, raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and I was fortunate enough to be invited along to give me my first opportunity to put Ferndale Crafts in the public eye.
Sadly, as we were putting the finishing touches to the stall, the heavens opened and the rain fell for a couple of hours. A few souls braved the weather to come and support the event but I think it kept a lot of people away.
At exactly 4pm, the rain stopped and the sun made a brief appearance and people started to arrive. I had a lot of very positive comments about my jewellery and made some very pleasing sales. All things considered, it wasn't a bad day there were certainly lessons to be learnt and I was pleased with how my stall looked,
I will definately be looking out for similar events in the future - but preferably indoors!

xxValentines Dayxx

With Valentines Day just a couple of weeks away, I have been busy putting together some special jewellery designs.   The focus obviously being red or pink and hearts but if thats not your thing then I can easily adapt the colour schemes and charms to suit your taste.

Ferndale Crafts is really starting to do well now and I have a steady stream of orders so I can't wait to revert to working 3 days a week to fit in some quality beading time.

My biggest order at the moment is for 15 pink and aqua bracelets with various charms for party bags for my baby girls 6th birthday party!

As always, I hope you enjoy looking at my work and don't forget to check out my facebook page for Ferndale Crafts.  Thank you to you all

Looking ahead

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that those who received a Ferndale Gift are enjoying their new jewellery. I have had some wonderful feedback about the things I have made which is amazing.

My aim for this weekend was to plan ahead - Valentines Day and Mother's Day present great opportunities for Ferndale Crafts, even at Easter a jewellery set would make a lovely alternative to another chocolate egg! So I have been busy with my pad and pencil, designing and choosing colour schemes, and browsing online at the endless supplies of different beads.

I have started to put together a few ideas and will post some new photos soon. The pictures below are recent orders designed to specific requirements - please ask if there is something I can make for you and don't forget to tell your friends about Ferndale Crafts!

Thank you for your continued support

A new beginning!

Ok so here I am entering the world of technology!  Those of you who know me well will appreciate this is a GIANT step for me but apparently this is the way forward so I am giving it a try.

The primary purpose of this blog is to try and keep you up to date with the goings on at Ferndale Crafts - my homemade beaded jewellery.  All designs are made to your specific requirements based on the images I post on here and on my Facebook account.  I can change colour schemes and themes and I can use any materials you prefer, glass or gemstones, silver plate ot sterling silver for example.

I will, over the next few days and weeks, be adding more photos to build up a catalogue of my work.  I do hope you like what you see and please contact me if you think I can make something special for you.

Thank you to all those supporting my new venture
